2-Way Solution

AML Wireless Networks offers an extensive selection of indoor and outdoor 13 GHz 2-Way equipment which extends the reach of a Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) plant beyond 30 miles. By deploying our 2-Way solution, Cable Operators can offer rural customers high value 2-Way services like high speed internet and interactive Digital Cable. In addition, our 2-Way solution builds a foundation for new evolutionary services like interactive TV, Video on Demand (VOD), and even Telephony.

In addition to our existing 13 GHz product family (over 40 products with varying power levels and indoor and outdoor options), the 2-Way solution utilizes indoor and outdoor transceivers (with varying frequency plans), and indoor and outdoor upstream receivers. All 2-Way equipment features lightweight, compact outdoor housings for outdoor applications, or single 6 foot racks for indoor applications.

A new 2-Way link can be installed in 6 weeks or less, providing FCC licensing and antennae mounting is in place.  A new  link typically consists of an indoor high powered transmitter and upstream receiver at the central headend site, an outdoor transceiver at the remote site, and simple filter networks at both sites separating downstream and upstream signals.

Also, an existing microwave link can be easily upgraded to 2-Way in 4 weeks or less, re-using existing equipment. Our 2-Way upgrade solution consists of adding an (outdoor) upstream transmitter at the remote site, an upstream transmitter at the central headend site, and simple filter networks at both sites separating downstream and upstream signals.
